Blondes have no soul

‘Blondes have no soul’ is a voice-dance installation solo work for silence , white and an evident nudity. In this work dance is proposed as a way to exist in a never ending sensible ever changing continuity.

It’s organing in my body

‘It’s organing in my body’ is a work for the church in collaboration with a live-organ player. Also here Pé proposes her unpredictable way of dancing, but this time finding its origin in the vibrating complexity of the organ.

La Folia

‘ La Folia’ is a new creation for the stage, researching the creative input and sublime force in/out of madness. It consists of two parts . The first part is called ‘Nijinsky’s big band’ ; a danced-up concert , exploring dance and spoken word simultaneously and treating the soul of Nijinsky in a sung and vital way. Cherishing Nijinski’s passion for a vivid and intense theatre, improvisation is an essential part of the work. Here Pé finds the strong support of top musicians Bart Maris, Lode Vercampt and Peter Clasen. The other part ‘ Zielewind’ will propose a strong poetic bond between the soprano Françoise Vanhecke and Pé and takes the musical genre ‘ La Folia ‘ as a dazzling starting point.

Masquerade

‘ Masquerade’ is a choregraphical work for 5 dancers of the company PéVermeersch/ Radical HeArts : Angela Babuin, Hélène Barrier, Hilde Broeckhove, Mireya Martinez and Mira Walschot.
They are placed in the midst and even above the 80 musicians of the Harmony of Aalbeke/Kortrijk , directed by Werner Vandamme. The choreography is very closely written on the contemporary music of Eric Whitacre ( Lux Aurumque ) , Gustav Holst ( The planets ) , Jim Curnow ( Canticle of the creatures ). It creates grotesque and facial as well as purely energetic moves. In Masquerade also a video work , realised in collaboration with video artist Koen Moerman is shown.
It shows Angela Babuin amidst 700 masks of village people of Aalbeke.
